How to Retrieve Data from Corrupt QuickBooks Files

Think of this scenario. You have been collecting and saving important files for years. When you decided to check on them, you realize that they are lost. Another is when you save a file on your computer. When it is time to open them, you will just be notified that the file is corrupt. Isn’t that frustrating and depressing? This is a situation that can be similar when a data is lost from corrupt QuickBooks files. Fortunately, there are ways discovered to retrieve them. But before that, you still have to treat or repair corrupt files using a third party QuickBooks file repair software.

When you start downloading a file, you will be notified with “ERROR”. Now, why do this happen? There are several reasons for this problem. One is that you internet connection is too slow to download the file.  Another is that maybe you are using an obsolete version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Microsoft Explorer 6.0 or a later version would do. An Internet Explorer’s cipher strength less than 128 bit might cause a problem, too. You may be incorrectly installed QuickBooks files from the very beginning or your version of QuickBooks might not have been supported by Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

Here is the solution to your problem. Start QuickBooks again then open financial institution directory. Click on Banking, then Online Banking ending up to Available Financial Institutions. If these things are seen on the left, you have successfully opened online services of Intuit. Try to download a program update if the internet can be used within the web browser or from QuickBooks. The QuickBooks version must be verified and cipher strength of Internet Explorer. From here, start Internet Explorer then click Help. If your version of Internet Explorer is old, you can download a new one. If problems still exist, maybe your installation of QuickBooks is a problem from the start.
